SADONG JAYA: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, visited the grave of his late father, Tuanku Jaafar Tuanku Sham, at the Islamic Cemetery of Kampung Sadong Jaya here today.

According to a statement posted on Wan Junaidi’s Facebook, the visit was also attended by his daughters, Sharifah Fariah, Sharifah Nong Jasima and Sharifah Nuril, as a mark of enduring love and remembrance.

A tahlil recitation and prayers were led by Sarawak’s Grand Imam, Datuk Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi, seeking divine mercy and forgiveness for the late Tuanku Jaafar.

Accompanying the Head of State were State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki as well as Infrastructure and Port Development Deputy Minister, Datuk Aidel Lariwoo.

The visit, held in the spirit of reflection and reverence, underscored the eternal bond between a child and parent.

As Syawal approaches, Wan Junaidi prayed for his late father’s soul to be granted peace, forgiveness, and a place among the righteous, while also hoping that his good deeds continue to bring blessings in the afterlife.
