KUCHING: A meeting on the Kuching Urban Transport System (KUTS) was held at the Public Works Department (PWD), said Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
“This meeting focused on the latest developments of the project, as well as efforts to accelerate its implementation for the comfort of the people,” Nanta said.
“As the ministry responsible for the country’s infrastructure development, the Ministry of Works plays a key role in coordinating aspects of construction, maintenance, and safety standards of infrastructure that support the implementation of KUTS,” he said in his Facebook post today.
He added that KUTS is a strategic initiative to develop a modern and sustainable public transport system in this city.
“This project involves the development of the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) system to reduce traffic congestion and improve mobility for residents,” he said.
