KUCHING: SEDC Energy (SEDCE) plans to set up four new multi-fuel flagship stations along the Pan Borneo Highway.

These stations (MFS) would be developed at strategic locations in Bintulu, Miri, Sibu and Sri Aman.

All of these flagship stations will support the hydrogen value chain for Sarawak once they are fully operational in the future, it said in a press release on Wednesday.

Darul Hana which was Malaysia’s first flagship station launched in 2022 provides not only conventional fuel to customers but also EV charging facilities and hydrogen refuelling.

SEDCE will be launching the second flagship MFS in Batu Kawa in the second quarter this year.

Recently, the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Cooperative (KOBOPEM) was appointed as the operator of this station.

In another development SEDCE and the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) recently teamed up to distribute bubur pedas  at the Petros Multifuel Station.

The spiced porridge was distributed to communities from Kampung Darul Hana (Semarang) and (Panglima Seman), Kampung Bintawa Tengah, Kampung Bintawa Batu, and also presented to customers and passers-by who were present during the event.

“We want to make Petros MFS a community station where it can be a hub to bring communities together,” SEDC said.

“With events like this, Petros MFS, being Sarawak’s very own petrol station brand, we want the community to be proud of its presence, bringing a positive impact to the community.”

Petros MFS is wholly owned and managed by SEDCE and currently operates a total of seven stations in Sarawak, namely Daro, Matu, Brooke Way – Sibu, Kanowit, Sg Asap, and Jepak.
