KUCHING: The Swinburne Indoor Open 2025, set for 12–13 April, will bring together eight dynamic teams from Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei for an action-packed weekend.

Organising chairperson Denise Pang Yu En highlighted the tournament’s growing prestige.

“The participation of teams from different regions will create a more diverse playing field, allowing athletes to exchange experiences, learn from various playing styles, and elevate the intensity of the matches,” she said.

Initially, 17 teams expressed interest, underscoring the event’s increasing appeal.

The Swinburne Ultimate Frisbee Club has been preparing since last year, ensuring seamless logistics, venue setup, and crowd control.

Safety remains a top priority, with an ambulance on standby and medical teams from the Malaysia Red Crescent Society and Halo Physio providing support.

Spectators and players can enjoy food stalls, regular social media updates, and group chats to stay informed. Newcomers are encouraged to join and learn from experienced players.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for beginners to improve their skills, understand defensive strategies, and enhance teamwork,” Pang added.
