Sibu District police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said yesterday that at about 3.30pm on Thursday (Feb 14), the victim, Indra Agus was playing with the ball at the back of his family home in an oil palm estate in Sungai Assan.

“When the ball was kicked into the five-foot deep drain, he went down to retrieve it. However he fell down and drowned,” said ACP Stanley.

Workers of the oil palm estate only found him two hours later. By that time, he was already dead.
