PBB, SUPP one family under GPS

MIRI: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) are like a family under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition, always supporting each other in governance and elections.

Piasau PBB chief and Miri City Council (MCC) Deputy Mayor Ariffin Mohamad reaffirmed this close partnership, noting their shared commitment to GPS’ success.

“Whether during elections or in daily administrative efforts, we will always support each other.

“As long as we are under the GPS banner, we are one family, committed to ensuring victory for GPS candidates in both state and general elections, securing a stable and prosperous future for Sarawak,” he said.

He made these remarks during a breaking-of-fast event hosted by Deputy Minister for Tourism, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, recently.

Ariffin stressed that regardless of when the next Sarawak election takes placw, whether this year, next year or in 2027, the coalition must always be in full preparedness.

“Our goal is clear, unity and readiness to face any challenge to secure victory for GPS candidates and safeguard the interests of Sarawakians,” he added.

He reiterated Piasau PBB’s full support for Piasau SUPP, reinforcing that their collaboration extends beyond election periods.

“As long as we remain component parties within GPS, we will stand together.

“Our preparation is ongoing, ensuring continued trust and support from the people,” he said.

Ariffin noted that the event was more than just a breaking-of-fast gathering, it was a symbol of the strong unity between PBB and SUPP Piasau.

He also stressed the importance of youth engagement, calling them the future leaders of the party.

“We must create more opportunities for them to connect, learn, and prepare for future challenges,” he said.

Ariffin thanked Ting for the invitation and expressed gratitude to all attendees for their support.

“Under the GPS banner, all component parties must remain united in facing future challenges.
