PADAWAN: An elderly pedestrian died on the spot in a fatal collision along Jalan Pehin Sri Adenan Satem last night (Jan 25).
Padawan police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi in a statement, said that the accident happened at around 10.43 pm.
“Investigations found that a car driven by a 37-year-old man had collided with the 71-year-old man.
“As a result, the elderly victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics and his body was taken to the hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Mohd Irwan urged anyone who witnessed the accident to contact the investigating officer Insp Abg Azizil at 014-8677853 to facilitate investigations.
