KUCHING: The Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Chamber (DUBS) has extended its heartfelt greetings to the Chinese community as they usher in the Year of the Serpent.
“The Year of the Serpent symbolises wisdom, adaptability, and transformation—qualities that remind us of the strength found in resilience and unity,” said DUBS president Datuk Abang Helmi Ikhwan.
He said this festive season is a time for families to come together, reflect on the past year, and look forward to new beginnings filled with hope and opportunity.
“We recognise the significant contributions of the Chinese community to the cultural and economic landscape of Sarawak.
Your entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and commitment to excellence have played a vital role in shaping our vibrant society,” he added.
He encouraged all communities to participate in the festivities, share the joy of reunion dinners, and engage in cultural practices that foster unity.
“May this New Year bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to all families, and may it inspire us to continue working hand in hand to build a more inclusive and harmonious community,” he said.
