KUALA LUMPUR: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has been awarded as an Honorary Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) for his exceptional leadership in driving Sarawak’s transformation.

The award was presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to Abang Johari during the MIP 2024 Planning Excellence Awards Ceremony held at a prominent hotel in Kuala Lumpur yesterday (Jan 24).

According to MIP, Abang Johari was selected for this recognition due to his exemplary leadership through initiatives in urban development, energy, and environmental sustainability.
