MATU: A total of 102 individuals were successfully registered under the Sarawak Basic Needs Contribution Engagement Programme (SKAS) for the Matu District at the Igan Community Hall recently.
The programme was attended by 119 residents, of whom 17 were not successfully registered.
Those who were unsuccessful may submit an appeal for SKAS from Feb 1 to March 31 via the same website.
Organised by the Matu District Office, the programme ran from 8 am to 5 pm, with eight registration counters to facilitate SKAS applications through the Spay Global app.
Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman), Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya, who is also Jemoreng assemblyman, was present to observe the programme.
Most of the attendees were individuals aged 50 and above, including senior citizens.
Among the issues encountered during the programme were unstable internet connections, a lack of smartphones, older smartphones unable to support the Spay Global app, forgotten passwords, and changes in phone numbers.
