SIBU: The Sibu District Office has assisted a total of 951 individuals in registering for the Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS) at the Sibu Indoor Stadium, said Sibu Resident Abang Mohamad Porkan Abang Budiman.
He said the engagement programme was held over three days, from Jan 21 to 23, from 8 am to 5 pm.
“On Jan 21, we recorded 362 individuals, 439 (Jan 22), and 150 as of 11 am on Jan 23. This brings the total to 951 individuals registered.
“There are 10 individuals without smartphones, so we recorded their information and sent it to the Sarawak Premier Department for follow-up action,” he said when met by reporters after visiting the programme venue here today.
He added that some of the issues faced during the programme included users forgetting their passwords, SarawakID usernames, or having changed their phone numbers.
“There were also problems such as accounts being suspended, face recognition taking a long time, and users’ phones not supporting the latest applications,” he said.
Abang Mohamad Porkan also advised residents not to rush their applications, as the registration is open until the end of the year.
“If residents miss the opportunity to apply during engagement programmes like this, they can visit the UTC, district office, or the service centre of their respective State Assembly representatives,” he added.
Also present was Sibu District Officer Wee Teck Min.
