BINTULU: Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang has urged the public to register and contribute to the Social Security Organisation’s (Socso) insurance protection scheme.
He said this is because the scheme provides financial protection and long-term support to individuals, including their dependents, when faced with challenges such as accidents or disabilities.
“We cannot predict accidents, and having protection through Socso is not just necessary but a responsibility.
“It provides financial security and psychological support, ensuring people can recover and rise above challenges,” he said after distributing Socso Care Boxes to three recipients under the insurance protection scheme here on Wednesday.
Pang noted that many individuals remain unaware of the importance of this protection until they face challenging situations.
As such, he urged the public to take proactive steps by registering under the Socso scheme to ensure their and their families’ well-being.
In addition to distributing essential goods from Socso Bintulu, Pang also extended personal contributions in the form of food baskets and angpow to each recipient.
