KUCHING: Continuous rainfall is expected in several areas across Sarawak, including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather advisory, warning that the rainfall is expected to persist until Thursday (Jan 23).

Residents in the affected areas are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions, especially in low-lying and flood-prone regions. Authorities advise the public to stay updated on weather developments through official channels and avoid venturing into hazardous areas during heavy downpours.
