Selected taekwondo athletes prep at national training camp

KUCHING: Seven talented young athletes from Sarawak Taekwondo Association (WTF) have been selected for the National Selection Training Camp in preparation for the upcoming Asian Cadet, Junior and Para Taekwondo Championship 2025 in Sarawak.

President of Sarawak Taekwondo Association (WTF) Azizul Annuar Adenan is happy to announce that both of the state’s Kyorugi and Poomsae athletes have been shortlisted for the national training camp scheduled from July 20 to 24 at Gym 3, National Sports Council (MSN) in Kuala Lumpur.

The seven talented young athletes are Harry Daniel Hunter, Anuwath Sarat, Jason Joan Joshua, Zara Nur Zafirah Mohd Yusof, Iris Nur Irdina Mohd Yusof, Nur Eeen Abdullah and Liew Yuan Song, all from Sarawak Taekwondo Association.

They have been called up for the national selection training camp in preparation of the forthcoming Asian Cadet, Junior and PARA Taekwondo Championship 2025 expected to take place from July 24 to Aug 1 here.

“I am glad with our Sarawakian athletes’ overall performance.

“The seven shortlisted athletes are selected on the basic of their performance in last year’s national championships, physical attributes and attitude towards daily training,”
