KUALA NERUS: Speedy winger Muhammad Akhyar Rashid has officially joined Terengganu FC (TFC) after signing a two-year contract with the club today.

The exciting news was shared by the Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) management through TFC’s official Facebook page this afternoon.

TFCSB chief executive officer Mohd Sabri Abas said Muhammad Akhyar, previously on loan from Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), has now signed a permanent contract with TFC, effective until the 2026/2027 season.

He added that the agreement had been approved by the Regent of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who owns JDT.

“Akhyar’s presence has had a significant impact on improving the quality of TFC this season.

“Therefore, TFC officially submitted a request to sign him permanently from JDT, and we are grateful that it was approved by Tunku Ismail,” he said in the statement.

Mohd Sabri expressed the club’s utmost gratitude and appreciation to JDT for their consistent efforts in supporting the growth of other teams in the Malaysian League.
