Film producer, Farid aims for Master’s and PhD

FARID Kamil recently revealed that he will be pursuing his studies at Master’s degree level soon.

Speaking to the media on his 2025 plan, the actor, screenwriter and producer said that he will be furthering his studies at the Universiti Malaya, although declined to reveal the course he will be taking.

“I won’t tell you for the time being since it’s still in the application process. If everything goes well, I would like to continue further with a PhD next,” he said.

Farid shared that he was inspired to continue his studies at a higher level after attending a gathering of 1000 UiTM alumni recently.

He said it was a touching experience as he encountered almost all of the alumnis who were some of his friends have at least a Master’s degree and some, a doctorate.

“Then there’s me, with my Bachelor’s degree,” he said, adding that he even had to decline a lecturer position at a private university earlier in his career as he doesn’t have the best qualification to teach others.

For the record, Farid holds a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Technology.
