The theft of water meters has disrupted public toilet operations.

The Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) through a post on its Facebook page said that the first incident occurred on January 2, 2025 in Taman Millennium with the loss of three water meters, followed by the second incident on January 10, 2025 in Tanjung Batu involving the loss of one water meter.

As a result of this incident, he said, public toilets in both locations had to be temporarily closed due to the lack of water supply.

The BDA has taken immediate action by filing a police report and working with the Northern Water Authority (LAKU) to address this issue as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the public is requested to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activities or information related to the incident.
