SARIKEI: Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Sustainability Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii has once again stepped forward to support students in his constituency.
Ahead of the 2025 school year, he distributed school uniforms and shoes to students from 10 schools across urban and rural Bintangor.
He stressed the importance of education and expressed his commitment to ensure the students in his constituency are well-prepared for their academic journey.
“Education is vital, and I am deeply committed to addressing the needs of our students.
“I treat the Meradong and Repok constituencies equally and have been contributing school uniforms and shoes to students in my area since I became a representative,” Huang, who is the Sarikei MP, said.
Huang, who is also the Repok assemblyman, hoped this initiative would allow students to attend school with joy and peace of mind while easing the burden on parents, especially at the start of the school year.
The initiative was warmly received by parents and school representatives, who expressed their gratitude for Huang’s unwavering support.
Many acknowledged his dedication to improving the welfare of students and easing the financial burden on families.
Representing Huang, Gung Chiu Kion and the service centreteam delivered the contributions to students at several schools, including SJKC Ming Shing, SK Sg Sian, SK Sg Selidap, SK Tanjung Bundung, SK Bukit Papit, SJKC Ming Tee, SJKC Ming Lu, SJKC Ming Ching, SMK Bandar Bintangor, and SK Gemuan.
