SPAOH: Saribas assemblyman Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam views investment in education as the best foundation for the future.
As such, the Deputy Minister of Women, Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development expressed his commitment to continue investing in this sector.
“The government will continue to invest in this sector because education is the best investment for the future.
“In Saribas, we will continue striving to ensure that every school receives the necessary support and facilities,” he said.
He said this while officiating at the Teacher Retirement Ceremony at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bungin here yesterday.
According to him, such efforts can produce quality and competitive human capital, enabling them to face the challenges of a new era.
“Therefore, it is no surprise that education in Saribas continues to be prioritised, in line with the government’s commitment to shaping an excellent younger generation.
“As Sarawak explores new economies, it will certainly require quality and competitive human capital.
“We (the Sarawak government) emphasise the importance of education as the cornerstone of community and national development,” he said.
At the same time, he acknowledged the challenges faced by educators in this era of technology but stressed that teachers still play a vital role in guiding the younger generation.
“From the government’s side, we will continue supporting teachers in adapting to changes and ensuring education in Saribas remains relevant.
“We want to ensure that every child in Saribas has equal opportunities to succeed. They are the most valuable assets for the community and the country,” he added.
