BINTULU: The construction of well-equipped and comfortable educational institutions is vital for preparing a generation of competent students to face future challenges, said Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn.
The Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Minister (MEITD) announced during his recent visit to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Orang Kaya Mohammad Bintulu that the modern school is expected to be fully completed by April 2025.
However, academic sessions are set to begin this June. According to him, the contractor has assured that the construction project is in its final stages and is on track for completion within the set timeline.
“The construction process has proceeded smoothly with no major issues, despite minor challenges.
“With modern facilities and 30 classrooms available, SK Orang Kaya Mohammad Bintulu will provide comfort to both students and parents while also meeting the educational needs of the local community,” he said when visiting SK Orang Kaya Mohammad Bintulu today (Jan 8).
He added that the new school represents a significant step towards modernising education sector in the area.
“I hope this institution will greatly benefit the local community and provide an enhanced learning environment for future generations,” he said.
Present during the visit were Federal Deputy Director-General of Education (Policy and Co-curricular Sector), Dr Rusmini Ku Ahmad, Sarawak State Education director, Omar Mahli, and representatives from the Public Works Department (PWD) Bintulu.
