KUCHING: Malaysia is set to witness a historic event as Rock In The Jungle (RITJ) brings the nation’s first-ever rock concert to the heart of the Sarawakian jungle.

his unique festival blends the raw energy of rock music with the breathtaking beauty of nature, creating an unforgettable experience for music lovers and environmental enthusiasts alike.

Held at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Santubong, RITJ transcends mere entertainment.

It serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of appreciating and protecting our environment in a truly unique and inspiring setting.

Featuring legendary rock bands such as Wings, XPDC, Candy, Sweet Charity, and many more, RITJ offers a refreshing departure from the typical concert experience.

“Rock concerts are traditionally held in large stadiums, but this time, we wanted to do something different, to create a closer connection with nature,” said Event Manager Zaini Zainuddin during a press conference on Friday (Dec 27) following a meet-and-greet session with the RITJ artists at the Sarawak Cultural Village.

He said that this is the first rock concert with such a distinctive theme.

The two-day concert, taking place from today (Dec 28) until tomorrow (Dec 29), is expected to draw a crowd of approximately 6,000 attendees.

Tickets are available at the main entrance, priced at RM188 for a single-day pass, with special rates of RM50 for university and college students.
