SARIKEI: Three Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR) have been completed in Meradong.
These road upgrading works are part of the Projek Mesra Rakyat funded under allocations requested by the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Sarikei Member of Parliament, and Repok Assemblyman, Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii.
The Sarikei Division Public Works Department (PWD), together with members of the Sarikei Service Center team, conducted a site inspection of the completed projects.
At the same time, Gung Chiu Kion, representing Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, witnessed the handover ceremony of the completed Mesra Rakyat project sites.
The completed project sites include Wong Kah Ing Road, Tung Nam Poh, Ho Kok Wah Road, Sungai Labas, Sing Hock Lama Road, Batu 2.5 Jalan KJD Nanga Strass.
Residents expressed gratitude to Huang for addressing the people’s needs through rural infrastructure upgrading programs and safeguarding the community’s interests.
Also present was the officer from the Sarikei Division Public Works Department, Robert Gani.
