KUCHING: This festive season, Sarawakians are urged to strengthen unity, tolerance, and cooperation, transcending race, culture, background, and religious beliefs.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said Sarawak’s unique diversity is a strength that binds its people together.

“This Christmas, let us reflect on the significance of the celebration—a time for unity, mutual respect, and love for one another,” he said in a statement.

He added that the festive season offers an opportunity to further enhance the spirit of tolerance and collaboration among Sarawakians.

“It is this unity in diversity that makes Sarawak special,” he stressed.

Awang Tengah expressed hope that the Christmas celebration would inspire Sarawakians to work collectively toward greater development and progress.

“Sarawak continues to move forward on the path of development, unity, and progress. Let us refocus our efforts and work harder to build a brighter future and greater achievements for our beloved Sarawak,” he asserted.

Awang Tengah, who is also Minister of International Trade, Industry and Investment, extended his warm wishes to all celebrating Christmas, emphasising the joy and blessings the season brings.

“May the joy of Christmas fill your home and heart. May the blessings of this season bring peace, love, and prosperity to all,” he said.

He also wished the people a Happy New Year, urging Sarawakians to welcome 2025 with renewed determination and hope.
