KUCHING: Sarawakians have been urged to cherish the spirit of Christmas and also be prepared for an important year ahead.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian said that 2025 holds great importance for Sarawak as it marks the midpoint of the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

“The PCDS 2030 ensures prosperity, inclusivity, and environmental sustainability.

“In terms of inclusivity, it is just the beginning where Sarawak’s wealth is being shared through initiatives like pocket money for pocket money for university students and e-vouchers for food, benefiting 850,000 Sarawakians,” he said in a video message posted on his Telegram.

Dr Sim, who is also the Public Health, Housing and Local Government Minister and Batu Kawah assemblyman, said it is important for Sarawakians to remain united and ensure political stability so as to safeguard the state’s prosperity and values.

“Most importantly, we will be able to achieve our PCDS 2030 which will be the best Sarawak has ever had,” he said.
