BALEH: Longhouse residents are encouraged to collaborate closely with the government to ensure uninterrupted development in their areas.
Baleh assemblyman Nicholas Kudi Juntai said close cooperation is necessary for those in remote longhouses to secure projects through their local elected representatives.
“Through initiatives like the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) and Minor Rural Projects (MRP), the local community can benefit from the modernisation efforts spearheaded by the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government,” he said during the pre-Christmas celebration at Rumah Nerampoh, Suau here, recently.
Nicholas said the GPS assemblymen and Members of Parliament (MPs) are committed to ensuring continuous development for longhouses, particularly in Baleh.
During the event, a sum of RM7,000 was allocated to the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Rumah Nerampoh and RM3,000 to the JKKK of Rumah Mawang.
