KUCHING: The morning rain on Sunday (Dec 22) did not deter about 2,500 participants to take part in the first-ever Regas Premium Auto BMW Run Sarawak, held at the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) compound.

The event was organised by Regas Premium Auto, the authorised dealer for BMW, MINI, and Motorrad in Sarawak and Sabah, to promote brand awareness and encourage a healthy lifestyle among the public.

MBKS Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and Regas Premium Auto dealer principal Josephine Tay were present to flag off the 5km and 10km runs.

The programme began with a warm-up session at 5.45 am, followed by the 10km race at 6 am and the 5km race at 6.30 am.

Participants tackling the 10km route had until 8 am to complete their run.

One of the event’s highlights was the unique finishing medal, designed to resemble a BMW tyre rim.

The exclusive design attracted many participants, eager to secure this special keepsake.
