BINTULU: Head of the Bintulu Zone Fire and Rescue Department, Wan Kamarudin Wan Ahmad, advises vehicle owners not to park their vehicles under trees, especially during thunderstorms or rainy seasons.

He said this measure was important to avoid the risk of vehicle damage due to broken branches or fallen trees that could threaten the safety of road users.

He also reminded the public to always be alert on the weather conditions and prioritise personal safety and property.

This advisory was issued after an incident in which a vehicle was reported to have been hit by a tree branch following strong winds early yesterday afternoon.

In the meantime, incidents of fallen trees in several areas here as have gone viral on social media, especially Facebook. Among them, in the Millenium Park area towards ABF Beach, Jalan Tanjung Batu, Jalan Johari Sunam and several other areas.
