BAU: Twenty-two motorcyclists were slapped with summonses during a traffic operation codenamed ‘Ops Motosikal’ in Bau yesterday (Dec 14).

Bau OCPD DSP Dr Daram Ruer said the operation, conducted from 6 pm onwards, focused on several hotspots including Pasar Bau, Jalan Bau-Lundu (Sibuluh), Jalan Bau-Batu Kawa (Musi area), and Jalan Bau-Singai.

“A total of 40 motorists and 35 motorcycles were inspected during the operation,” he said in a statement.

The summonses were issued for various offences including driving without a licence, no side mirror, failing to display number plates as per specifications, failing to display the ‘P’ stickers, and modified exhaust systems and vehicle structures.

Dr Daram urged the public to comply with traffic rules for the safety of all road users and report any information related to street thugs at 082-763311.
