KANOWIT: A mischievous cat had to be rescued by the Civil Defence Force (APM) after it got stuck in a chicken coop at Nanga Jagoi this morning (Dec 15).

Civil Defence Force (APM) Sibu officer Major Wan Mohd Jabir Wan Mohd Baharudin said that they received a distress call from the owner at 11.45 am.

Following that, a team of three members were dispatched to the scene, about 25km away.

“Upon arrival, they found that the feline, meowing loudly for help, had gotten its neck stuck in the fence of a chicken coop that was located behind a house.

“It took the team 20 minutes to free the cat safely before handing it back to its owner,” he said.

Once the situation was safe, the rescue operation wrapped up at 12.45 pm.
