BAU: A local man sustained minor injuries after his car skidded and crashed to the roadside along Jalan Krokong this morning (Dec 15).
Firefighters from Bau station were promptly dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call at 1.16am.
Upon arrival, they confirmed that the Proton Waja crashed to the roadside with its driver trapped inside, and extrication works were performed.
The 38-year-old man, who sustained minor injuries, was freed and handed over to paramedics for initial treatment at the scene.
He was later transported to Bau Hospital for further medical attention.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the rescue operation at 1.40am.
