KUCHING: Malaysians are encouraged to contribute to nation-building through sports, employment, and various other pursuits.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said that unity and mutual support among the people are key factors in achieving the nation’s success.

“As Malaysians, we all have a role to play in contributing to the nation’s development, whether through sports, employment, or other endeavours.

“Let us continue moving forward with unwavering spirit. Extraordinary success is within reach when we stand united and support one another,” he said in a Facebook post following meetings with the Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM), the Sarawak Squash Association (SRAS), and the Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) Sarawak at his office in Parliament, Kuala Lumpur, recently.

He said that the meeting with SRAM and SRAS provided a platform to exchange ideas and strengthen support for squash development at both the national and Sarawak state levels.

“This engagement underscores our commitment to fostering sports excellence and ensuring squash continues to thrive as a key sport in Malaysia,” he said.
