KUCHING: Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Deputy Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan announced a RM10,000 grant to support future programmes and initiatives at SK St Mary.

This was announced by the Yang Di-Petua PIBG (Parent-Teacher Association) Jessica Sarah during the “An Enchanted Evening with Little Marians” held at Dewan Sri Bunga Rampai at SK St Mary on Dec 7.

The event, held in collaboration with the school’s students and teachers, showcased the vibrant talents of the students while fostering a spirit of community and support for the school’s initiatives.

“With 70 students participating as performers and ushers, and 27 parents and teachers volunteering behind the scenes, the evening was a testament to the collaborative spirit of SK St. Mary.

“The concert featured 13 performances by students aged 7 to 12, including traditional dances like Bilangi Pinyambut (Bidayuh dance) and Ngajat Pua Kumbu (Iban dance), as well as modern dances, Silat, and vocal performances,” she said.
