KUCHING: Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is set to host Swinburne Chillax sessions, swin.sip sesh, across various locations in Sarawak on December 7 and December 8, providing an opportunity for prospective students and parents to delve into the offerings of this Australian university at their own pace.
The schedule for the swin.sip.sesh events are as follows:
Kuching: December 7, 10 am to 4 pm at Swinburne Sarawak’s campus along Jalan Simpang Tiga.
Kota Samarahan: December 7, 9.30am to 3pm at Zoro, La Promenade Mall.
Sibu: December 7, 11am to 4pm at T4 Sibu.
Miri, Sarikei, and Bau: December 8, 10 am to 4 pm at Chagee, Miri Times Square; The Coffee Code Sarikei; and Potato Story Plus, Bau respectively.
According to a press statement by Swinburne, “Swinburne Sarawak is an excellent choice for those who wish to pursue an affordable Australian tertiary education closer to home…”
During these events, visitors will have the chance to engage with Swinburne Sarawak’s course counsellors, uncovering the wide array of programs available at the university. Additionally, they can explore scholarship options and participate in lucky draws to win exclusive Swinburne merchandise.
Those attending the Kuching session will have the opportunity to witness the upgraded campus firsthand, featuring new facilities like the Borneo Atrium, Student Hub, Student Village, and Food Hall.
Moreover, Swinburne Sarawak will be facilitating on-the-spot applications at the Kuching event, with eligible students potentially receiving their Letter of Offer on the same day. Prospective students are advised to bring the necessary documents for the application process.
“Sarawakian students who meet the eligibility criteria can also inquire about and benefit from the fully-funded English Enhancement Program (EEP) supported by Yayasan Sarawak, aiding in enhancing their English language skills for their university journey,” the statement added.
The upcoming intake for foundation programs at Swinburne Sarawak is on January 6, while the intake for diploma and degree programs is on March 3. This initiative aims to provide students with a pathway to quality education within a supportive and enriching environment.
