MUKAH: An 18-year-old girl was found dead on the front veranda of a house in Kampung Kuala Lama this morning.
Mukah police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said they were alerted to the incident at 6 am.
Following that, a police team and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival, they found the victim lying lifeless on the veranda. However, no signs of a struggle or foul play were detected,” he said in a statement.
Rizal added that the victim’s body was taken to Mukah Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
The case has been classified as sudden death.
