SIMANGGANG: Petite girl, Michelle Belveqistriya who was crowned the winner of the Benak Idol 2024 competition is ready to challenge herself to a bigger singing stage.
Actively participating in many competitions, most recently she is understood to have qualified for the next stage in the reality programme, One In The Million.
She said she is determined to do her best in the next round (One In The Million).
“Thank you, mom, dad, for the support and sacrifice of sending your child to compete wherever she goes regardless of fatigue.
“I will do my best in the next round,” she said, performing Celine Dion’s popular song “I Surrender” on the Benak Idol stage in conjunction with the 21st Edition of the Benak Festival on the banks of Batang Lupar, here on Saturday night.
Michelle’s mother, who also expressed her pride through her personal Facebook, MichBella B-Tyn, fully supports her daughter’s wishes
“We are trying to vie on other stages. Stages that have yet to be won such as Waterfront Idol.
“Hopefully she will always be positive to continue involving in her favourite hobby,” she said.
Michelle, who was crowned the champion of Benak Idol, beat nine other competitors in the final stage and took home a cash prize of RM1,500 and a trophy.
The second runner-up was Azri Hanapi who sang the song ‘Mentari Muncul Lagi’ to be eligible to receive RM1,000 and a trophy.
Noorashikin Sekedar who performed the song “Alone” came in third place, taking home RM800 and a trophy.
The organisers were pleased to present consolation prizes of RM100 each to seven other finalists.
All prizes were presented by Lingga assemblyman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor.
