KUCHING: Women’s leadership potential came under the spotlight at a workshop on ‘Diversity Competitive Advantage: Women as Leaders – The Secret Sauce to Global Business Success’ here.

Organised by the Greater Angkatan Zaman Mansang (Azam) Sarawak, the workshop featured renowned advocate for women entrepreneurs, Ingrid Vanderveldt, who shared powerful insights on the role of women in driving business success.

Azam honorary secretary Margaret Chan stated that the workshop was a showcase of inspiring success stories, innovative ideas, and invaluable networking opportunities.

“These elements are expected to drive future successes for all participants. We encourage everyone here to challenge the status quo, break down barriers and create new opportunities.

“The momentum we build today will shape a future where women are not just participants but leaders on the global stage,” she said.

According to a statement, the workshop underscored Azam’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment where women are encouraged to lead and succeed globally.

The programme was participated by 80 people from organisations including the Sarawak Federation of Women’s Institutes (SFWI), PurpleLily Social Association Kuching, Pan Pacific and Southeast Asia Women’s Association, Sarawak Indian Women Association, Sarawak Women for Women Society, Persatuan Wanita Pasir Panjang, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), Universiti Malaysia Sabah, SEGi College Sarawak, Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association, Azam Young Souls, Azam Toastmaster Club, Segi Rotaract, Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), and Sarawak Energy Berhad.
