184 needy individuals receive sacrificial meat

KUCHING: Bank Kerjasama Rakyat, TVS, and Masjid Al Hakim have donated a total of four cows to 182 asnaf or needy individuals from the Kampung Muda Hashim area here.

Three of the cows were donated by the mosque congregation, while one was donated by Bank Kerjasama Rakyat in collaboration with TVS.

Deputy chairman of Masjid Al Hakim, Shaharoni Matnor, stated that the sacrificial programme is an annual event organised by the mosque, with cooperation from any parties willing to collaborate, as done by Bank Kerjasama Rakyat and TVS this year.

“We organise this programme every year to welcome anyone who wants to join us.

“We announce to the congregation if anyone wants to participate in the sacrificial event, and there are specific parts allocated, and there are also parties willing to organise the sacrificial event,” he said.

According to Shaharoni, a total of 70 people were involved in the programme including 20 staff from Bank Kerjasama Rakyat, 20 staff from TVS, and 30 members from Masjid Al Hakim.

A total of 77 kilogrammes of meat was distributed for the first round of distribution from one cow.

He mentioned this during an interview with reporters at the TVS and Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Sacrificial Programme at Masjid Al Hakim here on Wednesday.
