SIBU: The Sibu Vocational College (KV) has achieved an impressive 90.36 percent job placement rate for its cohort graduates in 2023.

KV Sibu director Jamali Muhamad said the accomplishment aligns with KV’s objective of having 70 percent of graduates employed, 20 percent continuing their education, and 10 percent becoming entrepreneurs.

“78.31 percent (of the students) have secured employment, 6.02 percent have pursued further studies, 4.82 percent have ventured into entrepreneurship, while 9.64 percent are still awaiting job opportunities,” he said.

He said this in his speech at the KV Sibu Madani Open House 2024 which was officiated by Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang Welfare Complex (KKJTHB) Sibu chairman Datuk Mohamad Yusnar Matalie at KV Sibu here yesterday (Apr 27).

Jamali stressed that KV’s success reflects its commitment to excellence in vocational education, as outlined by TVET standards.

“The full recognition of KV Sibu’s programmes by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Malaysia Board Of Technologist (MBOT), and Department of Skills Development (JPK) attests to the quality of education offered,” he added.
