SRI AMAN: A local worker sustained leg injuries in an accident involving an excavator along Jalan Bungkang this morning (Apr 17).
Firefighters from Sri Aman station was promptly deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 10.10 am.
Upon arrival, the team found the 27-year-old man injured on the road and promptly administered initial treatment as well as installing a cervical collar around his neck.
He was then transported to Sri Aman Hospital for further medical treatment.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the rescue operation ended at 10.23 am.
It was believed that the victim was run over by the vehicle while working.
