KUCHING: Fifty children from the Pusat Jagaan Nur Murni (PJNM) were invited for a breaking-of-fast meal in The Spring Shopping Mall yesterday (Apr 2).
The event was hosted by the mall and Perbena Emas through collaborating with PJNM, a foster home at Taman Liang Kwong which aimed to lift the children’s spirits for the approaching Raya celebration.
Furthermore, a total of 32 guests were also invited to join in the event with the children.
After breaking fast, all invited guests and children were treated to a buffet style dinner which consisted of traditional confections and dishes.
The event ended with the children receiving ‘duit raya’ from the organisers and a cheque handover by Lisa Ling, corporate affairs manager for Perbena Emas to Raziman Anggas, manager for PJNM.
Perbena Emas donated a sum of RM3,000 to PJNM for buying new Raya clothes for the children.
