We are together in this classroom
A place which comes by many names
But the most important one is this
We are in this classroom, called ‘Life’
Yes, we are here to learn, and to realise
So don’t tell me, you are not aware
We are here to learn, indeed to realise
Of the only lesson, there is to be learnt
Be not like unruly kids in a school yard
Busy shooting spitballs at each other
Calling each other, by shameful names
A game of ignorance, of being blind
Come let’s learn the lesson of love
Of loving each other, and all there is around
Seeing ourselves, in all that is seen
Loving what we see, even the unseen
Recognising in all, the Love and Mercy
By whose hand, is born all of creation
There is only one person responsible
In this lesson to learn and love
That person is none other, than you
We are here to learn, and to realise
To get to know the light behind each other
To feel the love that first created each other
