KUCHING: Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar is the right person to shoulder the responsibilities as Head of State.
In stressing this, Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Youth chief Datuk Snowdan Lawan said the former is qualified for the position given his credentials.
“Wan Junaidi’s civil service career from being a policeman and his rise as a legislator by being an MP for few terms then his experience in the executive branch, being a federal minister speaks to his credibility,” he said in a statement.
In the same vein, Snowdan said Wan Junaidi vast legal experience being a lawyer is an advantage to both Sarawak and Malaysia.
“Wan Junaidi, with his long and outstanding service in the federal Cabinet and holding few important posts in several ministries made him an asset to the state-federal relationship in the years to come.
“In a nutshell, he has experienced it all from being a ‘rakyat’ (people), civil servant, lawmaker and being an executive. He had taken the people’s sentiments with him in every undertaking that he was assigned to,” he said.
He also believes that Wan Junaidi will make a good statesman overseeing the state as the Sarawak Governor.
“Trust him, he will deliver,” said Snowdan.
