KUCHING: Assistant Minister for Resource Planning and Assistant Minister for Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Haji Mohd Naroden Majais announced an allocation of RM20,000 for the Sarawak Government Retirees Association (PPKS).

He made the announcement when he officiated at the association’s 45th Annual Grand Meeting at Dormani Hotel here, yesterday. According to Naroden, retirees are reminded to prepare and plan their lives with their families after their retirement.

“I believe you have prepared and are ready to face the challenges after retirement. Some might continue working in the private sector while some may open up a family business. Some may also be spending most of their time at home with family.

Go for vacation as well as do charitable work,” said Naroden.

He added that the government always appreciate the contributions of former civil servants who had played their roles in achieving what the state has achieved today.

“The government also rely on the support from retirees regardless of whether they were in the government or private sector. With the experiences they have, they can contribute to the development of the state and country for the future generations.
