KUCHING: The Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) and Sarawak State Sports Council (MSN Sarawak) have reaffirmed their dedication to advancing Sarawak’s sports development agenda.

SSC chief executive officer (CEO) and MSN Sarawak director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan said the corporation and sport council’s stakeholders have provided strong support in the efforts towards implementing the state’s sports development agenda throughout the years.

He pointed out that many athletes and representatives from Sarawak have achieved success in various sports stages including at the international level.

“The achievements of our athletes have demonstrated that the people of Sarawak are capable of competing internationally with some even achieving champion titles in the Southeast Asia, Asia, and world regions.

“The successes of our athletes is also the result of strategic planning and implementation of the state’s sports development agenda which involves various inputs from ministries, departments, and government agencies,” he said.

He made these remarks when speaking at the SSC and MSN Sarawak appreciation dinner last night (Dec 8).
