LAWAS: Local residents can now heave a sigh of relief as they receive compensation totalling RM17.1 million for six ongoing projects in the area.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan confirmed that the compensation follows legal guidelines and is based on the current market value of the land being acquired for these projects.
“We will pay compensation for the needed land for development projects.
“Thank you and please use the compensation wisely,” he said when attending the opening of the Entrepreneurial Hub in Kampung Long Tuan and the Compensation Cheque Presentation event here recently.
Awang Tengah also spoke about the Entrepreneurial Hub’s objective, noting its role in supporting local community members, entrepreneurs, and traders in growing their businesses. He expressed optimism that these efforts would expand the reach and marketing of local products.
