KUCHING: The Entrepreneur Paperwork Preparation and Consolidation Workshop (BPPKKU) Sarawak Zone has proven beneficial for new entrepreneurs in developing innovative business products and attracting customers.
The workshop, which took place from Aug 14 to 17 at the Kuching Community College multipurpose hall, saw participation from 30 students and eight lecturers from various community colleges and polytechnics.
Organised by the Kuching Community College Entrepreneur Unit, the workshop featured Prof Dr Logaiswari Indiran from University Technology Malaysia (UTM) Skudai, Johor, as the invited expert. The workshop aimed to guide participants on the essential steps required before launching a business.
Prof Logaiswari shared valuable insights on topics such as the basics of Business Model Canvas (BMC), Entrepreneur’s Daily Account, Company Profile, and how to prepare necessary paperwork before starting a business.
“Feedback from participants highlighted that apart from the challenge of obtaining startup capital, they often faced resistance from their parents due to concerns about the business not succeeding and lacking customers.
“However, participants with a background in Technical and Vocational Training Education (TVET) possess the potential to become successful entrepreneurs. Their skills and knowledge allow them to produce quality products that can attract customers, even with limited resources,” said Prof Logaiswari.
The workshop concluded with a closing ceremony officiated by Kuching Community College director Sumbang Mandaw.
