Coffee contains caffeine, a stimulant chemical, and while controlled caffeine intake can offer benefits such as enhanced memory and alleviating fatigue, pregnant women need to be cautious.

Excessive caffeine consumption during pregnancy can pose potential health risks for both the mother and the baby.

As a result, it is important for expectant mothers to regulate their coffee intake, limiting it to a maximum of 200mg of caffeine per day as part of their daily beverage choices.

By doing so, they can help minimise the risk of miscarriage and ensure the well-being of both themselves and their unborn child.
