MIRI: A passenger of a compact car was killed while the driver sustained injuries in a fatal two-vehicle road accident that occurred in Kampung Kuala Bakam today.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department, in a press release, said the collision involved a lorry and the compact car trapping the driver and passenger inside it.
Firemen successfully extricated the driver and front passenger from the car and the driver was transported to the hospital via the Ministry of Health ambulance.
Meanwhile, the passenger of the compact car was pronounced dead at the scene and was handed over to the police for further action.
