NGEMAH assemblyman Anyi Jana is dedicated to enhancing his constituency by prioritising four key areas: infrastructure development, economy, education, and empowering youths.

What is your vision for your area?

I would like to see significant development in the constituency within the next five years, with improved infrastructure facilities and a diverse range of economic activities.

What are the problems/issues faced?

One of the issues faced is the opposition from local communities who have been resistant to the developmental changes, despite the potential benefits. Additionally, the implementation of Rural Transformation Projects (RTPs) has been progressing slowly, potentially causing delays. I urge the relevant agencies and parties involved in implementing RTPs in my constituency to conduct site visits and expedite the process.

What has been achieved/latest achievements?

During my tenure for over a year, approximately 70 per cent of the implemented RTPs are underway, while the remaining projects are yet to commence.

What are your future plans for your area?

The future plans for Ngemah focus on four main areas, which align with Ngemah’s Strategic Plan. Firstly, there will be an emphasis on expediting infrastructure development, including roads and water utilities, among others. Secondly, more projects related to economics and agriculture will be implemented to stimulate economic growth in the constituency. Thirdly, efforts have been made to allocate funds for education-based programmes, highlighting the importance of education in the area. Lastly, there will be a focus on empowering the youth through various programmes and opportunities, recognising them as valuable assets in the community.
