LUNDU: Villagers whose roof of their houses had been affected by the recent storm in Kampung Temaga Dayak here will receive immediate assistance from the Sarawak government.

Opar assemblyman, Billy Sujang who visited the house of a storm victim recently said that he would help to repair the damage by using the allocation of Minor Rural Projects (MRP) and Sarawak Poor Home Improvement Project (PPRMS).

Billy visited the house of Siti Fatimah Abdullah together with staff of Lundu district Social Welfare Office and Sematan sub-district Social Welfare Office and ascertained the estimated damage amounted to RM18,000. 

Therefore, Billy informed that he would help the victim, who is a single mother.

In the meantime, the Lundu District Social Welfare Office also presented a donation in the form of a food basket to the victim.

It is understood that the roof of the victim’s  house was destroyed due to the storm on Monday evening.
